Principle: processing on the device

Compass, barometer, motion and step information is generally processed on the respective device for the app functions. No ISKRA SMOKA user account is created.

Data sources used

• Device sensors: magnetic/orientation sensors for the compass, a pressure sensor for the barometer and, where required, a step-counter/motion sensor.
• Apple devices: with permission, step values can be read from Apple Health/HealthKit.
• Android: with permission, step values can be read from Health Connect. If Health Connect provides no usable step values, the app may use an available device sensor as a fallback.
• Huawei devices: after explicit authorization, the app can use HUAWEI Health Service Kit to read step values only. The app requests read access to steps and historical access up to one year; it does not request write access or other health data.

Purpose

Step values are used only to display the daily counter and weekly, monthly and yearly statistics. Sensor values are used only for the corresponding compass and barometer functions.

Local storage

The app may store daily step totals, settings and intermediate values needed for statistics locally on the device. Deleting the app removes this app-local data. Data stored in Apple Health, Health Connect or HUAWEI Health is not deleted by removing the app.

No transfer to ISKRA SMOKA servers

Step and sensor data is not transmitted to ISKRA SMOKA servers. The app does not use advertising, user tracking, profiling or analytics for this data. Platform providers such as Apple, Google or Huawei may process data as part of their health and authorization services; their own privacy terms apply.

Permissions and withdrawal

Access to health or motion data occurs only after the relevant system authorization. Permissions can be withdrawn in the device health, account or system settings. Without authorization, some statistics features may be limited.

Third-party services

Depending on the device, Apple Health/HealthKit, Android Health Connect and HUAWEI Health Service Kit may be used. The app requests only permissions required for its functions. Data already stored with these services is also governed by the respective provider terms and privacy notices.

Privacy rights and contact

Statutory privacy rights apply to personal data processed by ISKRA SMOKA itself. Because step and sensor data is not transmitted to us, we cannot view, export or delete those values on a server. Privacy questions can be sent to the contact address above.
